WHY SHADOW SUCK!!!

Why Shadow truly sucks:

Shadow is actively(& intentionally) SABOTAGED by Sega because he can overshadow(no pun intented hehe) the main lead as far a story narrative and character complexity goes. Shadow has worked as a reflection of Sonic, but Shadow(back in the day) was expressed as more a ANGSTY creators pet anti hero who's plot and development made the cast seem REDUNDANT. Archie Shadow made Sonic look like a BOORISH, bully and UNHEROIC at times, that should NOT happen. It's that simple, Shadow after 06 had to be toned and fit a general standard where as much as he has a interesting and cool character to bounce off characters and twice as cool abilities and powers in battle, he had to be put second to Sonic in character and narrative importance, thus edgy Shadow or jobber vegeta Shadow.

The verying opinions like Shadow being like Ian Flynn not writing him properly is FALSE. Ian Flynn didn't write him like the games Shadow to begin with, the natural way to write him having a cool and calculating decisive insight to know what and why things needed to be done. Ian FAILED to write Shadow like in the games, Archie Shadow is RADICALLY different from the way Shadow normally acts it may not have been Shadow AT ALL. Ian writes Shadow constantly a sore LOSER, a unreasonably violent HYPOCRITE, and a SLAVE to order even though he ISNT(this is also apparent in post reboot archie).

It's because the mandates Shadow is CONSTANTLY underused for reasons he's been written to big a character that is as important or central to the setting or in short a main protagonist, he's difficult to implement as a supporting role because naturally hes been in things that just made him one of the top roles in the story or someone who just made Sonic need to take seriously. And this is why alot of fans got alot of stuff wrong about him, from his basis to his core concept he's meant to be a small part of something derived from Sonic, a reflection if you will. He's always the "Foil" and sometimes dark mirror of the title character, even in 06 and Archie were he is most seperated from Sonic overall, he's just compared to Sonic even in his own arcs since that's his main appeal to casual fans and how his creators viewed him as.

The fans want him to be something BIGGER but sadly they are MISLED due to the plots Shadow had in the past making him more than he was intended, sure they gave him growing development apart from Sonic, but they just made him deliberately easy to justify making him a RIVAL to him due to their differences but similar twin abilities and how Sonic always makes Shadow bring out his heroic side to prove Shadow is in many ways a connection to Sonic. Now they truly went full circle and made him basically a EGDY metal Sonic COPY who's role is the clash and compare to Sonic.

In conclusion, I think Shadow is one of the most BORING characters written in the series, his role and purpose betrays his own plot sometimes and gets people CUNFUSED and FRUSTRATED, everyone talks about Shadow like he's his own main character, he has friends and he has his own journey and personal adventures to expand on has a hero, and he does, but Shadow is a small part of the entire Sonic brand and plays Sonics foil in the end. Alot people won't like this take, but we gotta learn to except it.
